Is this you?
CO₂ lasers are one of the most established technologies in aesthetic medicine for renewing the skin. At First Class Health, we use Edge ONE by Jeisys, an advanced fractional CO₂ laser that allows Dr. Haggenmacher and our team to tailor every treatment to your skin, your goals, and how much downtime fits your life.
Whether you want a brighter, more polished look before an event or a deeper reset for lines, scarring, and years of Miami sun, Edge ONE adjusts to you.
How the treatment works
Edge ONE delivers thousands of microscopic columns of laser energy into the skin while leaving the surrounding skin intact. Your body responds by clearing away damaged surface cells and producing fresh collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep skin smooth, firm, and resilient.
Its EDGE Pulse™ technology uses very short, high-power pulses designed to limit heat spreading to surrounding tissue, which supports a more comfortable treatment and a smoother recovery.
A quick, refined treatment for glow, texture, and tone, with little to no downtime. The laser portion takes about 10 minutes. Think of it as a meaningful step up from chemical peels and facials. Many patients choose a short series for best results.
For more significant concerns like deeper lines, acne scars, crepey skin, and advanced sun damage. This option works at a deeper level for more dramatic, longer-lasting improvement, with several days of planned recovery.

— CANDIDACY & WHAT TO EXPECT
Is this treatment right for you?
Edge ONE is a strong option for adults who want visible improvement in skin quality and are willing to protect their skin from the sun during healing.
Treatment may need to be postponed or adjusted if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection or open wounds, have recently taken isotretinoin (Accutane), have a history of keloid scarring, or have a recent tan. We review all of this at your consultation.
Many skin tones can be treated with carefully adjusted settings and skin preparation.
Deeper skin tones carry a higher risk of temporary darkening after laser treatment, so we assess every patient individually before recommending a plan.
What to expect
- Before: Your journey starts with a consultation. We review your skin type, medical history, medications, and goals, then build a plan. You may be asked to pause retinoids and avoid
sun exposure and tanning beforehand. If you get cold sores, we may prescribe a preventive medication. - During: A topical numbing cream is applied for comfort. Most patients describe the sensation as warmth with a light prickling feeling.
- After EdgePolish: Expect mild redness and a slightly rough, “sandpaper” feel for a few days, followed by light flaking. Most people return to normal activities right away.
- After Deep Resurfacing: Expect redness, swelling, and peeling for roughly 5–7 days. We’ll give you a detailed aftercare plan and see you for follow-up.
- Results: Skin often looks brighter within days. Because your body keeps producing new collagen, results continue to improve over the following 3–6 months. Individual results vary.
