— WHO IT IS FOR
Is this you?
Patients looking for physician overseen IV hydration and nutrient support as part of a broader health plan, or as a standalone service.
— WHAT IT IS
How the treatment works
IV fluid therapy delivers fluids, electrolytes, and, where appropriate, vitamins or nutrients directly into the bloodstream, under physician oversight.
— OUR APPROACH
Our Approach
IV fluid therapy is offered both as a standalone service and as part of a longevity plan, depending on what brought you in.
— CANDIDACY & WHAT TO EXPECT
Is this treatment right for you?
Most healthy adults are candidates for IV fluid therapy. A brief health screening is completed before each session, and sessions typically take 30–60 minutes depending on the formulation selected.
— FAQ’s
Frequently Asked Questions
Is IV therapy safe?
For most healthy adults, yes, when it’s ordered and given under medical oversight. The most common side effects are minor: bruising, soreness, or irritation where the IV goes in. Less often, the vein can become inflamed, and any IV carries a small risk of infection. That’s why every IV at First Class Health starts with a health screening, not a menu.
Who shouldn't get IV fluids?
IV fluids aren’t the right fit if your body has trouble handling extra fluid. That includes people with heart failure, significant kidney disease, or certain blood pressure conditions. Some ingredients also interact with medications or aren’t recommended during pregnancy. Your screening covers all of this before anything is started.
How long does a session take?
Most sessions take 30 to 60 minutes, depending on what’s in your IV. You can relax, read, or work while it runs.
Does it hurt?
You’ll feel a quick pinch when the IV is placed. After that, most people feel little or nothing. Some notice a cool sensation in the arm as the fluid goes in.
How soon will I feel a difference?
If you’re dehydrated, rehydration can start helping within the session. Results beyond that vary from person to person. Research on IV vitamin infusions in otherwise healthy people is still limited, and we’ll be straight with you about what a given formula can and can’t do.
Is IV therapy better than drinking water?
Not always. For everyday hydration, drinking fluids works well for most people. IV fluids go straight into your bloodstream, which can help when you’re significantly dehydrated or having trouble keeping fluids down. Your provider will tell you when an IV makes sense and when it doesn’t.
How often can I get IV therapy?
It depends on why you’re getting it and what your screening shows. There’s no one-size schedule. Your provider will recommend how often based on your goals and your screening, and won’t book sessions you don’t need.
Do I need labs first?
Not always. Your provider decides based on your screening. Labs may come first if, for example, there’s a question about your kidney function or the formula you’re considering.
What's in the IV?
It depends on the formula. Most IVs start with fluids and electrolytes, and some add vitamins or other nutrients. Your provider will walk you through every ingredient before your session starts.
